We are looking for an individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about the beauty industry. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, are able to work independently, have strong technical skills, an eye for all things beautiful, love proving you can achieve your goals; have a strong consumer focus, understand branding and a desire to succeed, then you are the person we are looking for! Be the lead creator for all social content, with an emphasis on trending TikTok and Instagram content, and work alongside the creative department for other social media content creation projects. Plan and execute content creation ideas to ultimately grow the Indeed Labs’ social following. Key goals are to increase awareness of our brand on social media channels (primarily TikTok and Instagram), create on-trend content experiences, grow our following, ultimately driving conversions. As the Content Creator, you will be responsible for supporting the Social Media Manager by shooting, editing, and posting engaging visual content for multi-platform use.

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to translate the company’s overall growth strategy and vision into visual content.
  • An expert storyteller – who is able to create engaging social media content that resonates with our target demographic.
  • Come up with a plan (preproduction, production, and post-production) to execute photography and videography to support the company’s social strategy.
  • Pre-production: create mood boards, plan content, source props, models, location, and budget, etc..
  • Production: will work initially independently, and eventually with support to create replanned photography and videos (with a month’s lead time) that will fit the overall social media growth strategy.
  • Must have the ability to shoot remotely if needed, with equipment supplied.
  • Post Production: edit the images and videos to create a library of assets that will support promotional, and content calendar vision.
  • Must have the ability to edit photographs and videos using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite or similar software.
  • Work alongside the social media manager to post and manage social response for optimal engagement.
  • Test and implement new software and mobile Apps that elevate our visual presence.
  • Have an excellent sense of photography, videography/cinematography techniques, and technology (lighting, backdrops, props, DSLR camera settings).
  • Will be responsible for the content creation and optimization process from beginning to end.
  • Work alongside the e-commerce and social media managers to attribute website traffic to content posted.
  • Work with the digital and social media manager to analyze Instagram and TikTok insights to provide valuable information regarding the content, tweak existing or create new content that produces results.
  • Analyze content or campaigns, report findings, and provide recommendations.
  • Additional duties may be required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Media/or Creative Production.
  • Well versed in Social Media content creation (IG and TikTok), Video Production, Product photography, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 Years of professional experience preferred.
  • A proven track record on previously gaining a successful and impactful following on social media platforms through content creation.
  • Ability to forecast social media trends and develop a strategy for successful content engagement.
  • Excels at creating photo/video content that is engaging and successful across channels and audiences.
  • Passionate about social media, brand identity, photography, and videography.
  • Advanced understanding of and/or proficient in: iPhone photography/video, digital photography, Adobe Creative Suite and a diverse range of video and image processing software, plug-ins, techniques and approaches.
  • Must be comfortable being on camera as needed to demonstrate products in use, and add a level of personality to the content.
  • Familiar with tools such as WordPress, Squarespace, Hootsuite, and HubSpot is considered a strong asset.
  • An effective communicator, technologically savvy, creative & innovative.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a positive and upbeat attitude.
  • You are comfortable being on camera and love all things social and beauty!
  • Full-time but after hours/weekend and flexibility may be required.
